Welcome to the PTA News page! We value communication and understand it is critical in meeting our mission — to make every child's potential a reality. It acts as the bridge between parents, teachers, and school administration, enabling open dialogue, sharing important information, fostering collaboration, and ensuring everyone is informed about student progress, school events, and potential concerns, ultimately leading to a more supportive and involved school community. We do it together.

Dillo Details: the PTA newsletter is sent every Sunday with the latest Hill updates — school events, volunteer opportunities, after-school programs, and community news. Subscribe here. Playing catch-up? View our archives here.
Dillo Extra: supplemental newsletter emailed on Wednesdays with time-sensitive information or high profile updates. Only sent as needed to ensure you’re not being overwhelmed with information.
Hill Hub: all the links to all the things in one spot, it’s a handy landing page where you can access volunteer sign-ups, links to purchase tickets or merch, and easily find key AISD policies. It is updated weekly, so you can count it on for the latest and greatest.
Social Media: follow our PTA Facebook page and PTA Instagram page for fun ways to keep up to date, see event photos you won’t see anywhere else, and connect with other Hill parents. Tip: there are also private grade-level Facebook groups you can join.
Website: this website (!!) is a great place to reference evergreen information about the school, its teachers and staff, purchase official Hill spirit gear, and source AISD policy and procedures.
📣 You can also expect outreach through:
Wednesday Folders: in addition to receiving your student’s work you will occasionally get promotional fliers and event reminders.
Homeroom Emails: your Homeroom parent(s) will issue classroom communications which sometimes include messages from our Volunteer Coordinator seeking assistance or reminders about how you can get involved.

Submissions must be issued the Wednesday before publication. This applies to both the regular Dillo Details and the Extra.
Content may be edited or curated for clarity, tone, and space. Many email clients also limit the size of digital communications, which often dictates what and when we publish certain updates in the Dillo Details.
When submitting a request for an Extra please note that your entry, if published, may be included alongside other Hill-related news. Life is full of emails. We want to be mindful of your inbox (and sanity).
Because social media post are largely visual, requests may be not be approved if the image is hard to decipher, low quality, or not clearly related to PTA initiatives.
